Most of these have a fuel pump in the tank. Is the layout similar to mine?

The OEM leaf springs had started to sag. I can’t imagine what a new set from the dealer would cost. I also needed the extra carrying capacity to account for the canopy and hear I sometimes haul around.

Are you able to fully unbolt the rack?

@@azorianification yes I’m able to unbolt the 4 total bolt only the passenger side pulls back I can’t get the middle or driver side to pull back when it’s completely unbolted 🤷🏻‍♂️

@arose636 it would be easiest with the wheels pointed straight ahead

No lift. It runs the front fender very slightly. May need a tiny bit for trimmed to clear it fully. I’ve recently sold the wheels so I wouldn’t be able to test my theory. The new wheels clear everything perfectly.

Maybe a little. It’s hard to say because I didn’t think to measure beforehand so I’m not sure if it even moved at all. Visually it seems to be slightly forward of the centerline of the wheel arch. Did you measure beforehand?

Yes. I’m not sure if you get an additional lift with an AAL. I’m just using the standard leaf pack

No but I’m planning to. I still feel a small vibration so this wasn’t the source of the issue but this helped to fix most of it. I’m sure if I don’t figure it out soon I will need to replace these bushing again.

Converting the chinook to electric?

The 13WL are 231mm and the 13WE are 199mm from my understanding.

I did. I also made a video with the front suspension install. I went with OEM struts and springs. 🍻

OME EL 122RAB with D43XL AAL sitting on Bilstein 5100 559/560. Quite a bit of lift, 40.75, with a topper and 280 lbs of sand(lot of snow in Colorado). Hit the PB blaster put hard on the lead up but I had purchased an extra front shackle bolt just in case! I had to bend my ebrake cable guides up to clear the leafs(2001) but it worked and no drag so far. OME Fk21 extended exhaust hanger doesn't provide much more clearance than stock so the pipe is hung a tad but I guess I will get some type of bracket to drop it a little further. Again appreciate the video!

A 77? What happened to it?

I’m not 100% sure. I know the oil pan bolts to the bottom of the cover but I’m not sure if the pan can stay when the cover comes off.

No loosen some of the next bolts from the front of the engine and you can gain enough clearance to remove the cover

Besides a refresh, I left them stock. In the future I may upgrade them from drum brakes to disc brakes. For now the Tundra brakes do most of the work

Thanks. I don’t tow but there is a noticeable difference now when I have a lot of weight in the bed. I went with the Oem pads but you might be even more performance with an aftermarket tundra pad as well

They don’t make the kit but Low Range Off-road does. These springs are 63” so they are a lot longer and will require modification to fit. But it’s an inexpensive option for a lift and better ride quality

Yes, they do look much longer. Are you using the stock rear diff, and will the gear ratio stay the same with your new truck? @@azorianification JIm

Not more than and hour or two total. Breaking both sets down at the same time is the best option if you wanted to prep them faster. You could also get lucky and find a set that doesn’t look as bad. 🍻

What are you installing these on?

Which shocks did you go with? I think this was worth the upgrade. My stock leafs were bad after having this cap in the truck for years

@@azorianification I put in Bilstein 4600's. I even have a set of those Roadmaster's as well since 2017

What are road masters? Overload leaf?

@@azorianification 'Roadactive Suspension' they're technically called. Sort of like auxilliary helper springs. After doing more research, it seems like these would not work with the new Bilstein 4600's I put on in August and would have to buy a pair of 5100's. After a few phone calls, it's sounding more and more like I'll order a custom set from Alcan in GJ Colorado and see if my brother can bring them over next time he heads to Denver. I appreciate your video, give me an understanding on installation

@mlb6d9 Alcan is a good option as well. Are you raising the truck at all?
